80's - Illustration Friday

I wanted to do something for 80's that captured the true spirit of the bunnies, and I think this nails it. I hope you enjoy little old Great Grandma Bunny's 80th birthday. Her great-grandbunny is so excited to give her the present he made just for her. (Usually, Grandparents ask for things that they would buy anyway, don't they? My grandma used to ask for nylons - l'eggs, to be exact, packaged in the plastic egg - for every Grandma gift-giving occasion.) I think this time, the gift is something different - - perhaps a handmade model created from popsicle sticks and lentils! :) Or maybe it's a clay wall-hanging of a bunch of carrots. I am sure whatever it is, it will be treasured as though it was made of pure gold.

This is adorable! We always made gifts for my grandmother. She saved everything we gave her, even the computerized cards we made from the old Printshop computer program. It was easy to make things for her since her name was Rose...we just put roses on everything!

Happy birthday Grammy-Buns!! I don't know how you manage to actually imply age on these bunnies, but you do. Excellent!

Very nice...great character yet again...and if you are a rabbit that has reached 80 you definitely don't need to worry about ending up in the crockpot...that would be like chewing on a tire...I'm just saying...
