Rejection - Illustration Friday

I'm fooling around in Painter for the first time since Painter 3. It's much different now, but still some fundamental things have remained. They've dropped a lot of the drawing tools - no pastel, no pencils. Lots of watercolor, though. It is crazy what they can do with art software these days. I have a lot of experimenting to do. I could probably use a really thick user's manual. I'll bet it is a pretty deep program but I need to do some research to see just how deep it is. One thing that immediately strikes me as strange is the redraw is slow. It used to be slow back in the day, but that was also pre-pre Mac OS X - - we're talkin' OS 7.6. So, I could see how such a powerful program such as Painter would lag back then.... But now, in the age of OS X +? Intel Core Duo processors? 2 Gigs of RAM? Odd.

You did a great job with this and with Painter.
There are some great tutorials online, and Lynda.com has a whole raft of movie lessons on Painter. It is a deep program, but has become a bit more intuitive lately and correlates far better now, with Photoshop. Keep up the good work and stick with it, as Painter has so much to offer. A wonderful image!
