Hypothyroidism

("Butterfluff on Saturn", above, has absolutely nothing to do
with th
e contents of this post. It is merely eye candy. :) )

I know it has nothing to do with illustration (except for my ability to produce it ;) ) but it does have something to do with me, so I thought I would share with you that I just found out that I have hypothyroidism. I'm really excited to finally have a diagnosis because now I know what has been responsible for the battery of weird symptoms I've been experiencing. I've been hypothyroid "sub-clinical" state for a long time (which means that you are borderline hypothyroid but they "watch and wait" and don't treat you, yet.) Now, I've finally crossed the bridge.

I've been on the medication for two days now. I'm still exhausted (...as usual, and can't wait for this to lift) and actually feel quite groggy today (which I don't think is a result of the medication) but I am THRILLED to be able to now have regular treatment and I am looking forward to higher energy level and an end to the systemic symptoms of hypothyroid. Horray! :)

Hopped over from my blog. I've been going through a similar situation. Unfortunately, the diagnosis has yet to lead to a solution - it's taking a little sleuthing!
