The new issue of The Horn Book is out
This issue features an essay about Mother Goose books. The title is "How to Choose a Goose" by Joanna Rudge Long. The article is very timely for me. Lately I have been looking for the Mother Goose book I was most fond of when I was a kid. The funny thing is, I was looking at Mother Goose books just tonight, in the same book store, before I even happened upon the magazine rack, and The Horn Book, and the Mother Goose piece. We actually had more than one MG book when I was a child, and I did see one one of the books we had tonight at the book store - and the cover brought me back! But it was not the one I was most fond of. So, the search is back on. Having the titles of the books discussed in the article on hand might make my search a little bit easier, moving forward.
