You Make My Day!

Well, this is pretty cool, and quite an honor!! :) :) :)

Kim Fleming (aka Lil Kim in the illo-blogger world) named me one of her "You Make My Day" award recipients!!!! Whoop-de-doo!! So nice!! Thank you Kim! I am very honored and so happy that I make your day!! You made MY day by rewarding me this way. :)

If you have not checked out Kim's work, it is adorable, charming and full of whimsy!! Her web site's pretty darn sweet too... Love it! check it out!

About the "You Make My Day" award...

1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3. Display the "You Make my Day Award" logo
4. Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.
5. It's a meme (I just added this one myself!)

I now pass on the "You Make My Day" award to the following folks whose blogs make MY day...

Kim Morin Weineck...the life of an artist, art teacher and new mom is the subject of Kim's blog. She is a wonderful landscape painter herself, and often shares the work of her class in her blog. Her daughter Lucy is just totally adorable, and, lucky for us, she makes frequent appearances!!

Carol Eldridge...Licensed artist extraordinaire, Carol's blog is full of fun stories about her many adventures. Love her fun stories and general commentary on the state of things as she sees it. We also get to see her bright, lively and charming designs! I'm just nuts about her work, and her business sense is so incredibly sharp as well. For added fun, check out Carol's web site ,as well.

Ellen Crimi-Trent...Another licensed artist whose work I just adore, and whose musings keep me laughing and coming back for more. (HEY...that accidentally rhymed...) Check out her posts on products she's designed! Really cool stuff... and while you're at it, check out her web site too!

Claudine Hellmuth...Claudine's work is just fab. What else can I say?? She rocks (and one of these days, I'm going to buy myself a family -- my own family -- of her groovy Sittin' Pretty Poppets)! Her blog is always fresher than a daisy in springtime, too...

Anna Maria Horner...A new favorite on my blogroll, this is the blog of textile designer Anna Maria. Wait 'til you see her fresh and sophisticated designs - WOW. But her blog is all-the-way homespun, with introspective musings on the artists' life, the family life, and just about everything in between. I often find her blog posts as layered and vibrant as her designs!

...and my list is not complete without one more, for extra good cheer:

Rachelle Anne Miller...I've just recently discovered Rachelle Anne's work and I am loving it - her line work is divine. I look forward to seeing more of her work! Rachelle is also a crack designer -- very talented!! -- and her web site design is so tasty and sweet I could eat it for dessert. Go on and have a look!! :)

You are so sweet, thank you! Your illustrations are just darling and beautiful so it means an extra lot for you to say such nice things. Sorry it took me so long to get over here and say hello. though I bragged about my book being finished there were several loose ends to tie up. Now I can breathe a bit :)
