Daisy's in the hospital

(Ruby front, Daisy back)

Daisy, one of my pugs (the other pug is Ruby, Daisy's sister) is in the hospital. She's having neck issues and we think it is a herniated disc. The MRI (and spinal tap, if needed) will tell more of the story. If it is a disc issue, she will have surgery today. Please keep her in your positive thoughts and prayers. Above is a little drawing I did of Daisy and her sister Ruby when we were waiting at the hospital. They are very smart pugs and like to play on the computer. Their favorite website is Nick Jr.

I am so sorry to hear about your pug. I will keep you and your pugs on my mind and wish you both well. Love your picture. Now, my pug, she doesn't mess with the computer, she doesn't like the speed of the one paw technique, but boy oh boy does she love television. Pixar movies are her fav. as Ice Age is one she can't live without.

Hi Kathy, I put a little picture of Daisy ( one I drew from your posts) on my desk today, and I will keep her in my positive thoughts and prayers. I am praying they won't need to perform surgery but if they do, that she will be home soon looking for her next big bowl of kibble and maybe a slice of steak or a doggie cake to celebrate her homecoming.

Thanks everyone. You are all so kind. I will send her your warm wishes!!
We discovered today that Daisy has two bulging discs -- one major, one minor. Surgery tomorrow. Please continue to keep her in your positive thoughts/wishes/pryers. I so appreciate it and I know she does too!! :) :)

I am sure this is very worrisome! I had Dozer in hospital last year and Dottie twice this year - dogs can be expensive but so worth it. You let your little puglette know we are thinking and praying for her.

Such an adorable illo of the puglettes. Now I have a great picture as I visualize Daisy well.

Oh, let me post a photo of her! Should have done that earlier..

Best wishes for Daisy's surgery. My dog, Jackson, has degenerative disc disease, but didn't have surgery due to other health issues. He takes Metacam daily but is forbidden by vets to ever run again. He still thinks he can run though, of course! Paws crossed for Daisy!

Thanks so much for all your positive wishes and stories of your own doggies.

Foxed -- Thanks for sharing about Jackson's condition. I feel like we are on a rollercoaster -- there is so much we have yet to learn about her true condition: will she be able to be active again? What are the risks of this happening again, to same discs or other discs? We have a lot of unanswered questions right now.. Metacam, you are the second person who has mentioned it -- Daisy's been on it for pain management for a little while but it sounds like it is more powerful than I thought it was. Glad Jackson gets relief with it!!

I would think their favorite web site would be something like Fetch! Since the host of the show, Ruff Ruffman, is a dog too. Have them check it out: pbskids.org/fetch But then maybe I'm biased since I work on the site. Anyways I hope your pooch gets better really soon!

Louisa, Fetch is soooo funny!! Thanks for the tip!! I just checked it out. Nice work!!! Very very funny and very well produced!!

Poor Daisy! Everyone at PP has their paws crossed for the cute little girl. May she be back begging treats from you (while looking effortlessly adorable) in no time!

Thanks Angie!! :) Daisy (and Ruby... and the rest of us) really appreciate the crossing of the paws!!
