Dogs Rule project in Somerset Studio Gallery Summer 2009 issue
I'm so thrilled to report that the Dogs Rule fat book project is featured in the Summer 2009 issue of Stampington & Company's Somerset Studio Gallery magazine! You can order the magazine from Satmpington's website, or you might be able to find it at your local AC Moore, Michael's, or other arts and crafts store, or at your local Barnes and Noble bookstore.
> See more work from the Dogs Rule project here (my work is not on this page, but there is work from many of the other pet portrait artists here)
> See my blog post on the Dogs Rule feature in The Bark magazine's Sept 2008 issue
> Video about the Dogs Rule project by ArtPaw's Rebecca Collins
>Melissa Langer of Pug Notes post on Dogs Rule in Somerset Gallery magazine
>Archived post on my former pet portrait blog about the project
> Really nice photos of the book on Jill Beninato's Sit Stay Smile blog

Happy Bulldog
Here is a happy bulldog. I drew this guy while we were at Brigham & Womens, sometime in the first couple of weeks after my mom's stroke. Time goes by so quickly! Anyway this little character keeps finding his way into my drawings. (You might even recognize him!)
In other news, I'm starting to get ready for the Boston Handmade Marketplace in Union Square, Somerville. This craft show will be held on Sunday July 11th. I will be there, selling my artwork and painted goods, and will share space with my sister, jewelry maker Nancy MacCallum of NancyRosetta jewelry. It will be a lot of fun! Please come out and see us!!

Still here
I'm still here.
I check my blog every day to see if I made a new post. It's been so long, I think... this girl really needs to get on the stick. This blog is getting dusty.
Then I remember "OH YEAH... IT'S MY BLOG".
Life is slowly returning to a new kind of normal now. I am not even remotely there with finding a regular schedule for freelance and other art projects. But I DID turn on my computer in my studio today. And I AM contemplating restarting some goal-oriented projects I was busily working on before my mom had her stroke. So you could say I am definitely making some progress on making some progress.
Here is one of the many drawings I made while in the hospital the first week after my mother's stroke.

My mom's stroke
My mom Camille a.k.a. Dolly recently suffered a stroke. My sisters and I have a blog dedicated to her, the aftermath and her recovery. Please check it out if you are so inclined. One Red Bead
