The Sketchbook Project #5 - Polka Dot Triathlon (also Illustration Friday: Acrobat)

Here is today's Sketchbook Project drawing - This one came out really quick! I think it is so cute and I would love to do more work based on some ideas in this one. Oh to have 24/7 to draw and do nothing else - - wouldn't that just be amazing??

Which dog or cat is your favorite? Do you have one?

Kathy, It's tough to pick a favorite, but I am torn between the shimmy kitty and the hula doggie..they are both "in the zone"- luv it. I just love all the amazing details you add to your illustrations...total eye candy!I've gotta try those Copic markers. Nice new header too :)

I LOVE shimmy kitty with the hula skirt!! Reminds me of my daughter - she was a hula girl in her dance recital 2 yrs ago =) CUTENESS Kathy!

Suzanne, I am having trouble picking a favorite too! But I do love those two as well! I like the movement :)

EC-Thanks!!! :) If it wasn't so stream of consciousness, I may have given the hula girl the word "hula" instead of the hula-hooper. Oh well!

Vanessa- Thanks so much!!!! :) I am glad you are chuckling!! :)

Jenny, Thanks!! :)

I have chosen the same theme as you but I haven't started yet. Ugh.

I love the new look :)

A blank, clean, starchy sketch book can be intimidating. I just went in with a Sharpie and no plan, and got rid of that impossibly perfect glow. Now I'm having a lot of fun and feeling freer with it! Try it-it works! :)

Hahahahaha! This is GREAT! They all have so much personality. Wouldn't this make a great piece of decorative paper!?

Adorable! I like the shimmy cat and la la la dance...how cute. I agree, would love to have 24 hours to just draw...draw...draw. It's good to find something you love, isn't it?

Delightful!! This would make a great pattern for wrapping paper or fabric! I think my favorite kitty is the one that says "La La La, Dance". I can't wait to check out the rest of your work! :)

Oh what fun Kathy! Great stuff for IF and the sketchbook project! Really adorable! Drawing 24/7 would be great! Sometimes I feel that I'm losing precious drawing time while I'm sleeping :o)

Lovely little illustration! I like the hula hoop dog but they are all pretty cute. Must get onto that Sketchbook project before it's too late. Good luck with it.

I can relate about wanting more time to draw. This would make a fun textile pattern!
